Hope this Article finds you in good health. Just a quick Life Update. I tested positive for Covid on april 7. I was in Gurgaon, all alone in my PG. The best decision I took was to lie my parents that i am fine, its just a normal fever. I recently recovered from covid and at home Now. So,this was about me. Now lets talk about India.

Few days before , I was upset with this lockdown thing as this time I wanted my birthday to be celebrated outside the four walls of home. Country hit pandemic badly, situation started worsening, ok till that. Then this whole thing of people losing their loved ones started and I think everyone of us have put Ourselves in the scenario that what if , my family members tests positive, how will I manage to get oxygen if needed, and many other things which i dont want to mention. The pain of losing the loved ones is beyond my imagination and I curse myself to get upset on the thing that i would not be able to celebrate the bday. The few things which I felt in past 25 days which I feel like sharing are (Some may sound philosophical ):

  1. On 8th day of fever, breathlessness happened.Sp02 reading :91. I was not able to understand much, but was surely frightened. What if i died in this room, will i repent not telling the truth to my parents. This i shared just to tell you that this time the virus is much evolved. So do take it SERIOUSLY
  2. Nothing in life is more important than the relationships you have with people, the time you spent with your friends and family. and yes CAREER is an overrated term. There were few friends of mine who checked on me almost everyday( One of the reason I healed faster).
  3. Be kind to people around you. We all are fighting our own battles.
  4. We all are going to die one day. Why to hold grudges?
  5. Life is uncertain. Live wherever you are. Till yesterday we all were planning trips. Today we are looking for oxygen to breath.
  6. A tiny virus has brought this world on its knees. In all , me kehna chahti, zameen par rho, udo mat.
  7. And last but not the least, Let people do whatever they are doing to try to keep themselves sane. Come on, we are in the middle of a holocaust. People are DYING.

But, the thing which is so beautiful about this pandemic is, we all are praying not just for our family’s health but for everyone around us. Helping people in whatever possible way we could, asking people how they are doing. To be there for each other.

Last, it cant be a “HAPPY” bithday when many of us are in suffering. All i want is Please keep praying and ask people around you if they need any help. Just be there for them, emotionally. We need each other more than we ever needed, right now.

Take care, stay home, wear masks, wash your hands frequently.
