As they say,Women are bad Drivers and Men are heartless !!

Patriarchy affects both men and women in its own twisted ways and these remarks are an outcome of that. This line, because what's better than an offensive comment to grab attention.

So recently this incident happened in which a group of school “Bois” were making some offensive comments on girls in a personal chat group and then the screenshots got viral on social media. Suddenly the issue spiralled up and some elite offsprings of this patriarchal society made this issue as a gender war.

oh wait, the last line was not only for men, I know many of us read it like that only. So here’s a disclaimer for the upcoming article that until and unless I specifically mention the gender it will be for EVERYONE.

So now there happened another incident, in which a boy named Manav committed suicide due to false allegations of sexual abuse levelled against him on social media!

Also, the recent update on Bois locker room is that one of the screenshots of rape threats was not from the Bois locker room, Instead, a girl created a fake id naming “Siddharth” and was checking on a friend’s reaction to see how the guy talks about raping her.

Now considering myself as a rational being, what I conclude is

1. Everything on this social media is not real. Do form an opinion after knowing the authenticity of the news.BUT, I believe everyone is going to agree that most of us in our Whatsapp chats have that “locker room” where the victims of this patriarchal setup puke their insecurities by objectifying female body, by making remarks which I am sure they would never be able to speak in front of a woman. CALL OUT such groups. it's not ‘COOL’.
2. Stop forming your opinion by intermixing two DIFFERENT incidents. Both are wrong and both are DIFFERENT. False allegations of rape on any person and that too on a teenager is a heinous crime and that's where the point comes around that what should be circulated and what not to be circulated. FACT CHECK IS ESSENTIAL.

LAST, the next time you get stuck in traffic and someone says, “Pakka Kisi ladki ne gaadi fansa rakhi hai” and the next time when you hear the words “in ladko ko kuch fark nhi padta ye to paida hi heartless hue hai”, Call out against them. STOP REDUCING A PERSON TO HIS/HER GENDER.
